I’m currently a senior designer in an internal creative group for PlayStation’s marketing department where I lead and design new content & experiences for PlayStation’s web and lifecycle channels for hardware campaigns, game launches, subscription content, and everything in between. Here’s a brief snapshot of the Ghost of Yōtei launch campaign work I had the privilege of being design lead for.

    Homepage Takeover

I’m going to lead with the strongest aspect of the project as data tells us not many people are going to get much further down this page. The Ghost of Yōtei ‘homepage takeover’ was our first in-house implementation of this interactive experience where our users got to play a short mini-game resembling an in-game experience, bringing our users and players closer to the game itself and generating excitement for the new launch.

    Designing for marketing

As previously mentioned I’m mainly responsible for our marketing across PlayStation’s web, email, and lifecycle channels so lets dive into some of that process.

    Exploring Ezo

Here’s a quick snapshot of some of my ‘discovery’ phase for the project where I was exploring relevant source material for the IP like the prequel game, moodboarding, and also looking to some of the core themes of the title to inform what would end being the visual language I established across PlayStation’s digital channels.

One thing not shown here that’s just worth a quick mention is the visual experimentation I would do during the discovery phase, iterating on applications of designs to arrive at our final visual direction.

    Web & Email Executions

Fast-forwarding past some of the design iterations and stakeholder feedback, here are some example screenshots of some of the more final design executions on PlayStation’s owned channels:
